Argentina will begin the round of six of the U-20 South American Championship with a match against Ecuador. Its opponent knows how to play at high altitude and has Edson Montaño and Walter Chala, two strikers with much power and speed.
"Ecuador is a team that has a good control of the ball and has two strikers with a lot of speed and power", said Argentina coach Walter Perazzo. "It is also used to the altitude because several of its players live in a high city".
"Fortunately, on my team I have 20 players who are fit to play and are very focused, as they know we have entered a 'knock out' phase and there is no place for rematches", he added. "Thus, playing against Ecuador will be our first final match to seek qualification for the World Cup".
Argentina will face off against Ecuador in the second match of the final group phase tonight at 7 p.m. at the UNSA stadium in Arequipa.
